Lake & Grounds Information

Enjoy the Outdoors—Respectfully and Responsibly

The Woodlands Lake is a cherished feature of our neighborhood—a peaceful spot to relax, play, and enjoy the outdoors. Residents are welcome to swim, boat, and enjoy the lake, but please remember: all activities are at your own risk. Whether you’re paddling across the water, fishing from the shoreline, or simply enjoying a sunset, the lake offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature right here in the Woodlands.

The Woodlands community grounds and picnic area offer a beautiful, shaded space for residents to relax, gather with neighbors, or enjoy a family picnic. We’re proud to have this shared green space, and we ask all residents and guests to help keep it clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone. To see the map of the Woodlands property boundaries, go to

LAKE, WATERCRAFT AND DAM GUIDELINES

  • Swim, boat, and play at your own risk. The lake is not supervised or monitored by lifeguards or HOA staff.
  • Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Safety is a shared responsibility, and adult supervision is essential.
  • Register all watercraft with the grounds director before the watercraft is brought to the grounds
  • Watercraft Storage: Registered Woodlands members may store boats, kayaks, or similar watercraft upside down on the mulch behind the pool fence. All watercraft must be locked, labeled with the owner’s name and phone number, and registered in advance with the Grounds Director at grounds@woodlandshomeowners.org.
  • Important Reminders: Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Unregistered watercraft will be removed. The HOA is not responsible for stored items.
  • Safety First: Stay off the dam, spillway, exit channel, and their banks. Do not climb on rocks, move stones (riprap), or build structures in these areas.
  • No Parking: Vehicles and Boat Trailers are not allowed to be parked on the dam at any time.
  • Weather Warning: Avoid the dam and surrounding creeks during or after heavy rain due to dangerous water flow.
  • Reminders: Do not leave watercraft on the dam or spillway overnight. Report any unsafe or inappropriate behavior to grounds@woodlandshomeowners.org or president@woodlandshomeowners.org.
  • Please be courteous and mindful of noise levels and other lake users.
  • Help keep the lake clean. Dispose of any trash properly and report any hazards or concerns to the HOA Board.

GROUNDS AND PICNIC AREA GUIDELINES

  • No vehicles are permitted on the grass or picnic grounds. Please park only in designated parking areas.
  • Dispose of all trash in the provided containers. Help us keep the area clean for the next group to enjoy.
  • Fireworks are strictly prohibited on the grounds and in the parking lot. This is for the safety of all residents and to protect our shared property.

Whether you’re planning a small gathering or just enjoying a quiet afternoon outside, we appreciate your cooperation in following these rules.

Let’s all do our part to keep the Woodlands grounds a safe, clean, and welcoming space for everyone.

If you notice damage or safety concerns, please notify the HOA through the Contact Us page.
